The year 1994 can be considered the very beginning of "HBH Juozo Beer." Then the construction of the brewery was started. Another date in the chronicles of its existence is as much important: on May 8, 1995 the brewery was tested for the first time. On May 29, the first drop of "Juozo Beer" was boiled. In the festival "Baltic Beer ’96," which took place in Klaipeda July 25-26, 1996, "Juozo beer" was competing not only with the recognized beer producers of Lithuania, but also the ones from abroad. In this festival "Juozo Beer" by large surpassed such beer industry giants as "Shvyturys" and "Ragutis" and was granted the diploma of "Baltic Beer ’96" as the best and the most tasty beer of the festival. During the first year of work, 3 - 4 tones of beer were produced monthly. Now the same amount is made in two or three days. The light beer of the mightiness of 3.8% owns the title of the most popular beer. It is has an excellent aroma, gentle flavor, and tastes a little like honey.
